About Us
Shout or Whisper is community-based project which celebrates all forms and all voices: anything that involves taking the microphone and holding the room for a few minutes.
We run writing workshops to share and improve ideas, as well as open mic nights to celebrate the range of talent that the local community has to offer.
Co-founders Will and Tom met whilst studying for their creative writing degrees. Will has become an English tutor and creative writing course facilitator; Tom works in publishing and was named one of the 'Best New British and Irish Poets' by The Black Spring Press Group in 2021.
